Hint

Dear Guests,
We would like to inform you that the Panoramanahn Schönbrunn is currently on winter break and not in operation during this time. Service will resume in the spring.
Thank you for your understanding!

Suggestion

From the city center to the magnificent Gloriette with Vienna Sightseeing: our yellow HOP ON HOP OFF line takes you quickly and easily directly from the city center to the former Habsburg summer residence, where you can then change to our Schönbrunn panoramic train and discover the majestic park area.

I can recommend the panoramic train at Schönbrunn Palace to everyone. The train is yellow and therefore impossible to miss. You can spot it from afar. It's a good idea to take the train to avoid the steep climb to the Gloriette. The train runs every 20 minutes. You need headphones on the train to hear the explanations. You can choose between 8 different languages. We used the train with the Vienna Pass and therefore didn't pay anything extra.

This little train was excellent. My husband has walking difficulties so we were able to ride round the gardens and hop on and hop off. Highly recommend.

You can see the entire area in a short time, which is ideal with children. You also learn a lot about the history.

The train is practical to get from one end of the park to the other, but the ride itself is most of the time on some paths where you can see almost nothing but plants but not park. The story is interesting and educational, but it would be better if you could also see something from the park along with that little train.

Without the train, we wouldn't have seen much of Schönbrunn, because it's impossible to do it all on foot in one day. It was really lovely and a relaxing tour of Schönbrunn.
